Qianhua Ancient Village Folk Culture Blocks of Baohua Mountain

Qianhua Ancient Village Folk Culture Blocks are located in Baohua Mountain National Park, with a core area of nearly 40,000 square meters and a main street length of 800 meters. It is culturally developed based on Emperor Qianlong’s six visits to Jiangnan and six visits to Baohua Mountain. It integrates mountains, water and Buddha, combines street culture, Qinhuai culture and Zen culture, and displays rich folk customs of Ming and Qing Dynasties everywhere.

In the Qianhua Ancient Village Folk Culture Blocks, visitors can watch traditional folk performances such as acrobatic feats, face changing, fire breathing, puppet shows, ancient conjuring tricks, etc., so that they can immerse themselves in the past street life and appreciate the charm of ancient Chinese folk arts.

The Buddha Pavilion on the treetop is located in the southeast corner of Baohua Ancient Street, where a four-faced Buddha from Southeast Asia is enshrined. Following the principle of not destroying any grass or tree, with the rising height of the mountain, the Buddha path and Buddhist Pavilion buildings are overhead, and the buildings are connected by wooden plank roads to present an antique and natural style.

On the way from Qianhua Ancient Village to Buddha Pavilion, there is a wooden plank road, with a series of “wind-style” inns on both sides. The wooden houses advance row by row along the mountain, which are blended into the scenic spot. Their appearance retains that of the traditional Chinese residences, with both vestibule and backyard, and each door has a Zen name on it. There are 16 rooms in total, each with its own ingenuity and merits. The room has French windows in all sides, which look like four empty walls. Living here is like living in a garden in the air, and the primitive beauty is all over the place.
