Jiangsu Tea Expo Park, a “blessed land of tea industry and technology”, was developed on the basis of the former Gaomiao Tea Farm. It is located 15 kilometers away from the northern foot of Maoshan Mountain, a famous scenic spot, and 9 kilometers away from the urban area of Jurong City. The park covers an area of 2,500 mu (411.8 acres) and a tea garden of 1,200 mu (197.7 acres), with beautiful natural scenery, superior ecological environment and convenient transportation. It gathers nearly 100 kinds of tea tree resources, displays a variety of tea garden cultivation modes, and integrates theme park with production park. It is a tea industry expo park integrating leisure, health preservation, teaching, scientific research and culture. Embodying the characteristics and style of modern tea garden management, it is a comprehensive tea industrial park integrating industrial development, ecological conservation and leisure and entertainment.
There are modern tea exhibition area, tea culture experience area, tea and golf training center, college students’ quality development training center, Baizhu Garden, cherry blossom garden and other themed landscapes in the park, which integrate the development of natural eco-industry with the creation of modern artificial landscape. In 2011, it was awarded the title of “Demonstration Site of Tea Culture Experience Tour in Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration” in the regional special product evaluation of the “Tea heritage from ancient to modern times at home and abroad” for experience tour.
Tea such as “Maoshan Changqing” and “Mingyuan Quhao” of “Rongbao” brand produced by the park have won awards in the famous tea competitions of “Zhongcha Cup” and “Luyu Cup” over the years, among which “Mingyuan Quhao” is a brand with independent intellectual property rights and patent rights.
